Privacy policy

This policy explains how Autofai Technologies Private Limited ("Autofai", "we", "us") processes personal data when you visit arisento.com, contact us about ARISENTO, or hold an ARISENTO licence. Autofai is the data fiduciary / controller for these purposes.

1. What we collect

  • Enquiries and demo requests: name, work e-mail, organisation, country, phone number (optional), your message (optional for demo requests) and your consent. They are sent to our sales mailbox and recorded in our enquiry register (a Google Sheet with restricted access) so that we can answer you. Submissions that look like spam are deleted.
  • Customers and licensing: business contact details, organisation, licence and billing information.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information processed by our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) to deliver the site and protect it against attacks and spam (Cloudflare Turnstile).
  • Website statistics: privacy-friendly, cookieless page statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not identify you.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

2. ARISENTO software and your laboratory data

ARISENTO is installed in your environment - on your own server or in your organisation's private cloud account. Data you process in ARISENTO - users, study data, documents, audit trails - stays there under your control; Autofai does not host or receive it. Your organisation is the controller of that data. If you give us access for support, we act only on your instructions and under the agreed terms.

Local AI by default, hybrid by your choice. The AI model runs on your server by default. Your organisation may enable an optional cloud AI provider (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or Microsoft Azure OpenAI) under its own contract with that provider. Hybrid mode is activated only through a configuration request, a connection test and QA approval with electronic signature; you define which purposes may use it and which terms are blocked. The text of those AI requests is then processed by the provider you selected, under your agreement with it. Every cloud request is recorded in your system, and the connection can be switched off immediately. Autofai does not receive this data.

An ARISENTO installation with internet access periodically sends its organisation ID and licence ID to Autofai's licence service to confirm the licence status (the request necessarily includes the server's IP address). It contains no laboratory data. Literature and compound searches in ARISENTO query public scientific databases with the search terms (e.g. compound names) directly from your server.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Answering enquiries and providing demos - your consent / our legitimate interest in responding (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)/(f); DPDP Act s.6).
  • Licences, support and invoicing - performance of a contract and legal obligations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)/(c); DPDP Act s.7).
  • Security of the website and prevention of misuse - legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); DPDP Act s.7).
  • Keeping you informed about ARISENTO - only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Sharing

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you - hosting, security, e-mail and our enquiry register (Cloudflare; our e-mail provider; Google for Google Sheets) - under contracts that require them to protect it, and with authorities where the law requires it. We never share it with other companies for their own marketing.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country (for example in Cloudflare's global network and Google's data centres). Where data from the EU / UK leaves those areas, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact unless a business relationship follows. Customer and licence records are kept for the contract term and as long as tax and company law require. Security logs are kept for a short period by our provider.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask for access to, correction, completion, updating or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, object to processing, request restriction or portability, and - in India - nominate another person to exercise your rights. US residents may request to know, delete and correct their data. Write to info@autofai.com; we answer within the period the law sets.

8. Grievance Officer and privacy contact

Questions or complaints about how we handle personal data can be sent to our Grievance Officer, as required by Indian law (Information Technology Act 2000 and Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023); requests from other countries are handled by the same contact.

We acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within one month of receipt.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU / UK, to your data protection supervisory authority.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access restrictions and security monitoring. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. Children

This website and ARISENTO are intended for professionals and are not directed at children.

11. Language

This policy is published in English. On request we provide it in any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the current version. Material changes are announced on this page.
